Blue View 8 - Prima Chalet

We started this trip on a bad note as most of our party had a hospital emergency and could not make it. They did not care if someone was even sent to hospital they did not even try to accommodate. They mentioned we would get 4 parking spaces and we did not. We had to park one of our car miles away with a child because they did not tow the people who parked in our spot. The place itself had mold in the bathrooms and there is definitely not enough towels. We also did not have hot water because they forgot to turn the hot water on for us. We were not happy with our stay and throat now hurts from breathing in the mold.

Hi Maria, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Understandably, we got off on the wrong foot due to our inability to accept the last minute request to move the booking. Unfortunately, when we receive a cancellation request within 24 hours of check-in, per our procedures, we are required to have this approved by the Homeowner. We apologize that the request was denied but respectfully, your assertion that we did not try to accommodate is not accurate. With that said, we apologize for the stress this added to your group falling ill at the last minute and the impact it had on your vacation. In regards to the parking, each chalet does have 4 assigned parking spaces, but occasionally on busy weekends other guests may park in the incorrect spot. In attempt to resolve this for you, we spoke with the guests of all the occupied chalets requesting that cars be parked in the correct spot. We apologize for this inconvience - especially with a young child. In terms of the bathrooms, we have not had any issues reported to us but to be safe, we've since sent in our team to perform a deep clean of the property and are continuously monitoring the state of the bathrooms. Please note that we have a 24/7 Contact Centre availble who can dispatch local team members to deliver extra items upon request such as towels and toiletries. The issue with the hot water has also been addressed. The hot water on demand system in the home has been serviced by a licenced Technician and we are happy to report we have had no further issues. We apologize that your experience with us did not meet expectations. We hope that your family is well and that with time, you would consider staying in Blue Mountain with us again. Thank you Maria.

The PV Team is very friendly and the location is only a 10-15 minute walk from Blue Mountain Village. There were a couple bugs in the house and each shower had empty shampoo/soap bottles, but we still had a great time in the space!

We booked this house for 12 people and it was a very comfortable stay! It was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. It was also just a5 minute drive to blue mountain and was very convenient. The place was very clean as well. Overall great stay!

Great place to stay. I had my bachelorette party here, and it was a perfect set up for it. The pictures don’t quite do it justice, it’s a beautiful and cozy spot. I wouldn’t say it’s a walkable place to stay and get to the village but it’s incredibly close to drive and there is Ubers. Overall no complaints- the master bathroom was missing a mirror over one of the sinks (not a big deal) There was a rule about being in the hot tub any later than 10or 11pm & security would somehow show up if you were in it any later. Huge bonus there is adequate parking! We also really enjoyed the steam room!

It was nice place, however one issue was while we booked this place we see the swimming pool photos and didn’t realize that the pool was shared until we arrived and we see that they have only 1 pool which is shared , and the hot tub water was not clean also , rest everything was good!

Michael, we completely understand your wish for the pool to be open! The good news is – it is now! At the beginning of the season, we have to wait for more consistent warmer weather, the pool needs to be thoroughly deep cleaned, the chemicals have to be properly balanced, and lastly it requires an inspection for health and safety reasons. Gorgeous place and view but I agree with the comments below - it just needs a little TLC. The cleanliness was mediocre - vents need to be cleaned in kitchen, dusty in high places and the showers have some black mold. There are also some repairs that need to be done in the kitchen. Even still - we would definitely stay there again. The property staff communicated well and were friendly. Great space for big families and groups. Just beware if you are using the steam room the fire alarms will go off.

When using the steam room, if you keep the fan going for the duration, it will help to prevent the alarms from sounding. Property management was very good. From the first day they would text me to make sure all details were there. They responded for me on average within 3-5 minutes. It is a company (not a private home) which I expected management to be on point. The view was very good...clean unobstructed view of the mountain and the location was perfect. 3 minute drive right into the center of the village. The space was large and for most part clean. Despite these overall positive elements there was several negatives. 1. BBQ was broken...called and brought 2 replacement BBQs. They were beyond horrible and easily 10+ years old worn / rotted out. Absolutely upset me 2. The beds were like rocks...I didn't expect memory foam but I slept like I was on a board 3. There were crumbs EVERYWHERE...cleaning was clearly fast and done....I had to vacuum when entering 4. Cultery was stained and dirty (knives / forks etc) 5. Hot tub had TONS of foam which indicates bad water / filtering and had low water.

Great location, lots of space. Kitchenware was lacking, bathrooms and sauna were old and showing their age, for example mold in the grout lines etc., hot tub was nice but the chemicals were not well managed or lacking and hot tub was unusable by day two. Otherwise a decent place to stay with friends and family.

this place was very nice, very clean, easy to find and worth the money, however couple of things I would suggest for improvement. 1, this is a 5 bedroom home, we were 12 people, there was only one TV, suggestTVs be added to the main adult bedrooms. 2. with 12 people we had a significant shortage of towels, the towels we did have were very small. A small investment here would make a significant difference for your guests. We absolutely would recommend this home located in Blue Mountain.

Very cozy, clean and enjoyable stay! Positive: Very conveniently located for people who want to ski and snowboard! The hot tub and steam room were a wonderful way to end the day after a long day on the slopes. The hosts were very easy to reach when we needed to get in touch. The chalet was clean upon arrival and the beds were very comfortable! Negative: The parking spaces could have been identified better as the markers on the ground were covered by snow. This caused some issues when other guests decided to make the parking lot a free for all lot. We tried to reach the security team a few times but we never got a response.

The place is very nice with a large and bright living room and kitchen. The location is very close to the village and the front facing view to the snow tracks are beautiful. The rooms on first level are good, yet the rooms in the lower level have some pain points. One friend got allergic to the bed, couldn’t sleep. The other double bed squeaks whenever moves. There are 4 labeled parking spots closest to the unit but 2 were taken by other cars so we had to park further away. Hope the parking management could improve.

We do use hypoallergenic and non-scented laundry detergent in an effort to minimize any possible reactions. Our maintenance team tightened the double bed that you mentioned so this stopped the squeaking, although we regret that this would have been disruptive during your stay. Lastly, we offer parking passes for this unit and the local security manages the lot. The Chalet is tastefully decorated and well laid out in design! It provided everything we needed for our stay! Note: Cushions on the couches are feather/down in case of allergies.. Security was friendly and informative and property management were competent and supportive! Definitely Recommend!

We stayed at Prima the week of Aug 23nd - 26th 2022. Prima is perfect if you are in a large group with pets. This place can accommodate a lot of people which will make it a lot of fun!!!. Property Valet made check-in easy and communication with them was very responsive! We were a family of six with two small dogs, and it was very spacious! The two fridges were great to have to accommodate all the people. Prima has a great view, especially when you're in the Hot Tub! The location is perfectly central. Close to the Village (2 min drive), or you could head into town, which is about 10 min. It is also 13 min away from Thornbury, where we visited a few times, as there are some really good restaurants in Thornbury (The Mill Cafe & Fabbrica are a must!!!!) The steam room and hot tub were a huge hit and were used often!!! On the negative side, where I could see some improvement would be that this place seems to show its use now and could use some TLC. The couches are old, and one couch has a one-seat pillow that the foam is nonexistent and uncomfortable. The TV is small and is in an odd location and is an older and not a smart TV, so bring DVDs. A larger, newer TV hung on that wall would suit this huge place much better. Not a huge deal, just suggestions. Overall the place is clean but could be cleaner, especially considering the cleaning costs. The showers are starting to show dirt in the grout and should be bleached clean considering what the cleaning costs are....showers are not that welcoming. The two main bedrooms on the middle floor are very comfortable and cozy. But the comfort level goes south if you use the lower basement with three bedrooms. The basement is very damp, and if you have the AC cranked to get the living area cool(which is on the top floor), the basement gets cold. (this house is upside down, living area on the top floor, bedrooms on the second floor and a basement). They provide many very warm comforters, a lifesaver for the basement bedrooms. The bunk beds and single beds in the basement are comfortable, but the queen in the basement is not comfortable at all and should be replaced. With the cold and dampness, sleeping in this room was not fun. Overall, Prima was a great stay, and honestly, we will go again. It is very spacious and in a great location. It accommodates many people, so this makes it fun. Just needs a little improvement, and Prima could be awesome again!!!!

The property is in a great location, close to the village. It was an upside down house with three bedrooms in the basement, two on the main level and the kitchen/dining/living on the top floor. It was well-decorated. The amenities were great - the hot tub was lovely and well-maintained. We enjoyed our time there and would come back again.

This was a great rental property for a large group! The space is just as it looks, very spacious and comfortable, the pool and private hot tub were big bonuses. Not a bad walk to blue mountain village but I would not recommend walking to/from at night because I don’t think the road is safe for pedestrians after sunset.

Home away from home Our stay at our chalet (Prima) was an absolute delight... everything we needed was available and response time on inquiries was really fast. Excellent customer service The communication even before we got to the chalet was great! From check in to every other little detail. One of the windows in the dinning area wasn't working properly. We sent a text notifying our host at about 9pm , we got a quick response and it was fixed the next morning. The chalet was extremely neat and clean. We had brought cleaning wipes to clean and disinfect but to our surprise not a single dirt was on the wipes! The beds were comfortable and cozy! Anything you would need or use in your personal kitchen they had in this airbnb! It felt like home away from home. The beautiful scenery, the hot tub and the sauna was the highlight of our trip. The village is just 3 mins away from the chalet. Pictures don’t do justice to the beauty that is the chalet. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful airbnb with an amazing view overlooking the mountain. Airbnb was incredibly spacious and accommodated 8 guests very comfortably. Property management was so accommodating and answered inquiries in a timely, gracious manner. Location of this property was also prime! Only a few short minutes away from the village. Airbnb was cozy, beautifully furnished and came with all of the amenities we could have ever needed. Would highly recommend this location for anyone looking for a beautiful getaway near Blue with a cozy, chalet/Scandinavia feel. I look forward to future stays here!

What a great spot! Beautiful house with great views and good location. Fyi, there was a coffee maker and Keurig which were not listed in the list of amenities. Clean and very spacious. We utilized the hot tub and BBQ which were great to have. 10 minute walk to the village. Beds were super comfortable as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great for groups! We had 8 adults, 2 babies and 2 dogs and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location was great for us - quiet and only a 10 minute walk to the village. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with the essentials. The host was super easy to communicate with and we had no issues. We would definitely stay again!

Everything about this place is great - there is a hot tub and steam room, lots of functional space, comfortable beds and a perfect place for two families to spread out and not feel on top of each other. We had horrible weather and still had a great time! We are already looking at booking for the Summer.

The cottage was within walking distance to blue mountain village. There was plenty of room for 12 people. We loved the steam room and the hot tub and BBQ. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed in terms of pots, pans, cooking supplies, and plates. Would highly recommend for groups. Check in and check out was easy, but there were a few more steps because Property Valet requires forms filled in prior to check in.

Great location - 5-7 mins to the mountain. Lovely chalet with a bright kitchen & living & breakfast area - beautiful view of the mountain. Kitchen well equipped. Loved having 2 fridges. Would comfortably fit a big group - with plenty of bathrooms (3.5). Furniture / beds - mostly comfortably - I’d bring own pillow - blankets were warm and clean. Check in/out smooth - host was good with communication. Includes basic cable - we had trouble connecting laptop to get Netflix on the tv. Overall a great place.

We had a great time at this Chalet. The view was amazing. The hot tub did stop getting warm at some point I’m not sure why. Everything els was equipped (Dishes EXT). We were disappointed that the hot tub stopped working which was why we decided to stay here in the first place. Property Valet was very easy to get a hold off. I would suggest the parking be more sufficient for people staying at this blue chalet as people were parking in front of our chalet and we had to park a little further and walk inside with our ski gear. It was more of a 15 minute walk to the village. Overall amazing stay.

The folks at Property Valet did an excellent job of communicating with us whenever we had a question or concern. they also made sure to shovel the walkway and took care of some other minor things for us. Overall, it was a great experience for our whole family!

Had a fantastic stay at the Prima Blue View 8 chalet. Amazing views of Blue Mountain, 5 min drive to the village and the hot tub and steam room came in handy for our aches after skiing. Hope to return soon!

Stay was ok. Chalet was large lots of space for a large family. Chalet is old starting to get run down not very clean for the price of the cleaning fees. Had to purchase alot of supplies that should have been there. Not within walking distance to resort.

We LOVED our stay. Everything was perfect. After covid had turned the world upside down it was fantastic to take our boys away for a mini vacay. My 10 year old had tears in his eyes when it was time to leave. Thank you for such a fantastic few days away. We will DEF be booking to come back

An overall great stay - communication was via text, all questions were quickly answered and follow up was also done by Stay In Blue. Accommodations were exactly as the pics showed, clean, plenary of parking and all items were working. Hot tub and Steam Room did us good after a cold day on Montera, which the unit overlooks hole #2. A great stay, and very near the Village, we would definitely stay here again.

The vila we stayed in was absolutely beautiful! Quaint, but still extremely close to the village. They were very welcoming and the place was clean. The only downfall to the stay was the communication at times was not the best as the receptionist was tricky to get ahold of. Overall, I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend!

Had a great stay at the Prima with 6 girlfriends! Check in was slightly delayed but otherwise the service from this company was excellent. Our fireplace wasn’t working and they had someone in right away to fix it as well as provide us with more wine glasses (we only had two). I really appreciated the ability to text when I needed something. Beautiful view and nice a spacious. Would visit again!

Beautiful home and location! We really enjoyed our stay. There were a few hiccups, like a giant hornets nest above the hot tub, wifi not working and not receiving an update about booking the pool prior to arrival (it happens) ? but the host handled it all flawlessly and ensured we had a great stay. We really enjoyed ourselves- thank you!
